My dog died at age 10 years 4 months. I was with argos pet insurance for 5 years, paid by direct debit, never missed a payment, never had to make a claim. So when my dog died, I made a claim for the 200 towards my dogs cremation. I had to wait 2 weeks for a reply, for them to decline it. It said that cost towards my dogs cremation was not covered in my policy as my dog was over the age of 9! So why have I been paying 30 a month if my dog was not covered?? Absolute scammers, AVOID.

I have my 3 cats and 3 dogs insured with platinum lifetime cover and have found the service provided by Argos to be excellent. I've made several claims for different injuries or illness and have found the claim process simple and the pay out quickly approved. The annual increase is rather high, especially for pets that haven't claimed but other than that I am extremely happy with the service I am given. 6 happy pets = 1 happy owner!

Refuses to pay for cancer claim. I am absolutely disgusted with this outfit. After paying for their cover for over a year, our cat Teddy has been diagnosed with cancer. Argos pet insurance have disapproved our claim. The reason given is that 3 years ago we took Teddy to the vet because he was vomiting. The cause of this was determined to be fur balls. The issue was resolved and Teddy was fine for another 2 years. Argos claim that as 'vomiting' is a pre-existing condition, and one of the many symptoms of cancer is vomiting, they cannot process our claim. They also say that the exclusion of gastro-intestinal issues is mentioned on the policy. That is another lie. Deceitful, soulless bunch of snakes. Sorry I do a disservice to snakes. All creatures, including humans and cats have vomited at least once in their lives. Using this as an excuse not to pay out for a cancer claim is the lowest of the low. Shame on you Argos Pet Insurance.
