I started my course in April 2020, as the country was closed down for Covid!! All lessons were done remotely, which I quite enjoyed, although I do feel that I missed out not being in the classroom, as there probably wasn't quite as much spontaneity!! The content was great and the presenters were all very good, and actually made the learning fun. On to the assessment stage. This was extremely in depth and I appreciate that I was extremely lucky with my assessor, who returned the work very quickly and asked lots of questions, which really pushed the boundaries of my knowledge and quite often required further research. My biggest piece of advice is make sure that you have structured your assessment stage, don't just jump in with both feet and hope for the best - it does take time to get used to it, but once you do and you get into your processes, it is fairly straightforward. My only piece of criticism is that there should be more in depth explanation of the Residual Valuation - I didn't feel that this was given sufficient time within the learning modules, considering there is a whole case study on it. All in all, I felt the experience was very good and would highly recommend the course.

The course content was great and the training team very helpful throughout. The course is demanding and requires discipline and commitment. I was impressed with the support available after qualifying from the full team at Sava.

I have recently completed the level six diploma in residential surveying and valuation through Sava. I found the initial classroom sessions very informative, and well planned and structured; the teachers are excellent, extremely knowledgeable, and helpful. The assessment process is quite challenging at times but the method of learning brilliant. During my assessment period my family and I sadly suffered the loss of two family members due to Covid 19 and I found that due to bereavement I was unable to focus on my studies, the Sava team were extremely understanding and sympathetic to my situation and kindly granted me an extension at no extra cost for which I cannot thank them enough. I am very happy that I decided to undertake the diploma and I am looking forward to starting my building surveying career. Highly recommend.

The course itself is a good course and will get you to the point of being able to carry out levels 1&2 surveys, however its an extremely expensive course which they do not offer student funding, they do have a monthly instalment payments but is ridiculous amounts per month which most people will naturally bring out a loan and pay the full amount up front. When joining I was fully aware of the price and was Willing to pay as its a career path I have wanted to go down since leaving school. However there is terms and conditions when you sign up that they are not obliged to refund any money, I had some personal difficulties which ended up on me stopping the course after 4 months, they offered me an extension but am not in a position to study due to time, I asked for a 50% refund as I had 4 months of learning no classroom learning due to Covid. They declined my offer and offered just under 15% I know that is something when they arent obliged to refund anything but that will not touch the sides of the life changing debt Im now in. Anyone that is looking to join this course please be aware of the above and the terms and conditions.
