Like others, I get nervous going to the hairdressers, but for years now Ive been coming to Jen for; cuts, colours, bridesmaids updos and extensions. Ive always been made to feel comfortable and at ease.
I always come out feeing a million dollars.
Would highly recommend.

That customer had left, one staff was busy highlighting another customer's hair, and another staff was busy talking to someone at the reception desk. I waited there politely for few minutes for my turn. No one bothered to acknowledge me, like saying "we will be with you shortly" which is the standard practice and good manners when a place is busy and customers have to wait.
I carried on waiting politely and said nothing.The lady at the reception did see me but she just carried on talking to the person she had been talking to when I arrived, and the other staff didn't say anything. I found this sort of treatment a bid odd, and/or may be simply a deliberate treatment??!!!
Feeling being ignored by staff which upset me, I left without making a fuss. Surely the place didn't look upmarket enough to accept only elite "European" customers but it made me feel that may be my ethnicity was not welcomed there???
After I left Strands, I went to a few other places nearby to see if that was the standard of customer service in Newport Pagnell. All other places I went to, staff were welcoming and their prices were average 55-60 for a cut/style and blow dry.
Sorry, but I didn't find Strands a welcoming place.
(PD: I have 20 years experience of customer service management in UK).
