The Cruck Barn is a great wedding reception venue if you want to diy it & bring in your own catering etc. The bar staff were very helpful. The gardens are nice to explore & walk around and there is the sensory garden now which is nice to have a sit down and look at the flowers. Shame about all of the dog poo left around on the grass around the old abbey by irresponsible dog owners. This is why I haven't given more stars.

Booked an away day here. Terrible instant coffee that was cleared away halfway through the day. WiFi stopped working mid-morning and staff treated us an inconvenience. Dull sandwich lunch. Will look elsewhere in the future.

Milton Keynes City Discovery Centre provides lectures, tours, workshops and experience days on the history of Milton Keynes and the planning and development of the new town. They have a lot of school groups visit them for history days (stone-age, Roman, Anglo-Saxon, Medieval, Tudor etc.) Where history is really brought to life in a fun and interactive way for the children. They also receive a lot of foreign visitors who want to learn about the planning principles behind Milton Keynes. As well as education they are also based in the beautiful grounds of Bradwell Abbey, a former Benedictine priory that was converted into a farmstead around the time of the dissolution. Most of the priory is now gone except for a pilgrims chapel and a few of the working buildings. One of which is called the Cruck Barn. This space is hired out as a venue and is very popular for weddings and parties.
