The Ivory Wardrobe

I had my appointment at the Ivory Wardrobe and honestly I was a bag of nerves, being plus size and the prejudice that can often follow left me terrified of what kind of experience I may have trying on dresses. Well I can honestly say that Laura made me feel at ease instantly, she was warm, kind and actively listened to what I was saying (and not saying) so much so that a bridesmaid has booked an appointment in to find her dream dress If you want to go to a shop and come away feeling a million dollars then please please don't walk but run to the Ivory Wardrobe, so far it has been the easiest part of the wedding journey and I feel so happy and comforted that the next stages will be as much of a beautiful experience as the first one.

Im honestly so grateful to Laura for helping me find the perfect dress! By the time Id reached Lauras lovely little shop, Id already tried on 30+ dresses and was definitely a mixture of stressed and over it. However from the moment I walked in, I felt so at ease, you can instantly tell that Laura loves what she does and this shows. She knew what type of dress I wanted before I even know, an absolute professional in her trade. I couldnt recommend her enough. As Im currently posted overseas I gave Laura the shortest deadline I think shes ever had and boy did she deliver!! Between her and the amazing Steph, we had first try on with two alteration appointments to final fitting all in one week! Thank you girls so much!!!

Laura helped me to find my wedding dress. As someone who tried on lots of dresses prior to coming here I was starting to think perhaps I just wasnt bridal but Laura helped me find a dress that felt like me. I really loved my dress. Laura didnt make me feel pressured or judge my body like other shops did, I was made to feel comfortable and confident.

I cannot thank Laura enough for everything she did in the process of finding and fitting my dream dress! She made the experience perfect and we had such a lovely time trying on gorgeous dresses in her shop. I managed to choose one that day even though Im normally indecisive, but Lauras patience and advice meant I was able to pick my dream dress! We returned for the fittings which she also made a lovely experience, with lots of helpful advice and expertise to make sure it fitted just right, as well as advice about hair and jewellery decisions which I really valued (she even gifted me the necklace I wore on the day!) It is a gorgeous dress with so many layers (which Laura so kindly spent soo much time pressing!) and on my wedding day I felt like a real princess! Thank you x
