MR Dutson Bakery

It's pointless going in after 1200 as there is never anything left. This seems like a classic case of the bakery scared of the possibility of any waste at the end of the day simply not making enough. The bakery has conditioned it's customers to expect nothing after midday so has killed it's own afternoon trade. 20 years ago there was nothing left at 1400 every day, now it's pointless going after midday. I went in yesterday at 1202 and there were only 2 hot sausage rolls, a couple of loaves and 2 ice cream cones filled with marshmallow. All the other shelves were all empty. I get the fact the bakery may say that's great we sold everything but it's the 3 hours open with nothing to sell that do the damage and manage your customer expectations. Tesco next door ended up with my money yet again for a meal deal instead of a sandwich and cake from the bakery. Such a shame as their products are very good as long as you get there realistically before 11 to have some choice.

It's small but the food is lovely and the staff are very friendly and you are always made to feel very welcome there.

Freshly baked goods - really nice bakery. Freshly baked bread, rolls, sausage rolls, pasties, cakes, made on demand sandwiches.

Great selection of bread, savoury and sweet lunch options. A favourite lunchtime haunt of mine, usually for the sausage rolls and bacon sandwiches. Friendly staff and affordable prices too!
