        Amazing history, huge cottages with many en suite bedrooms, real fires and views over the hills of the Lake District whilst out on its extensive patio with the BBQ. Easy enough to find, quiet location and lots of parking. Lots of great walks from the cottage and even a train station in the next village a 15-20 minute walk away with trains all the way up to Carlisle! Loved every minute of our time there and the host is a very knowledgable and lovely lady.
