The Gun Inn

Had dinner here with friends back in the autumn whilst staying on a weekend break. First good point is that it was within easy walking distance of our cottage. Secondly it was warm and cosy, we had a table in the bar close to the fire. The bar was busy which created a good atmosphere. The menu had some choices which were different from standard pub food. Our server suggested we try the home made pork scratchings as an appetiser.....excellent choice. Food was good and service was friendly. Priced at higher end of pub prices but not really your standard pub food so overall I'd say it was reasonably good value. I would go there again.

We had a lovely walk with Charlie (our beautiful dog) and got soaked in the rain! Stopped here for a drink and dried off by the fire. Couldn't have been made more welcome. Highly recommended this place.

I have visited this place with my large walking group last Saturday on the way to Hurst castle. Food was really nice ( I would recommend fish finger burger , best fish finger I ever had ) & staff was really friendly in person and on the phone. They were friendly and willing to accommodate some of the people in the group who had no pre booked table . Food was delicious & portions were large . Everyone in our group liked this place.
