Absolutely lovely woodland and great for a nice winter walk with stunning wildlife. I do have to comment on the Jolly Callcut review as I was there to witness the encounter. The dog sprinkles is a unfit name for such a unruly beast. I saw it chase after the young families children and would not come under control. The family were extremely pleasant and good natured and once Jolly had left we discussed the encounter and they explained that this hermit had been following them for many weeks. Sadly a grumpy person who has nothing better to do.

I enjoyed a lovely stroll here with sprinkles and thought to myself "wow... I've finally found a place to call home after the incident at chantry wood in Guildford (for more details of the incident see my review on the wood). It was a lovely crisp morning and the birds were singing their morning chorus, I didn't have a care in the world. And then, I saw the same family which ruined my chantry experience, just as scruffy and rude as ever. I'm pretty sure I saw them eating raw bacon. I was horrified and assumed they had been stalking me, so I approached them. I had to fight my way through the stench they exuded. Even sprinkles was on edge (and she's always been a great judge of character). Trying to strike up conversation was futile, the family are more neanderthal than man. Alas, I must once again search for a place to call wonder with my precious sprinkles.
