Messaged planthood over a month ago to ask about where they sourced their vegetables. Just wanted some information beyond marketing. Yet to respond, so no way to know if their product is good value. My use case for these meal kits is alternatives to takeaways and when feeling a bit uninspired. It was nice to try new meals, and they were tasty. I didn't find them much quicker to make than other kits I've used. I find Riverfords meal kits to be better. You can easily return packaging (they pick them up when they deliver), they are organic, there is traceability, price is comparable and you can also add other shopping items to your box. Oh and you get recipe cards, so if you liked a meal you can reproduce it yourself!

I really wanted to like these meal kits but I am beyond disappointed. I saw this as an opportunity to eat healthily whilst saving money. Firstly can you stop calling the Caribbean curry Caribbean as a a black woman who can cook, I have never tasted anything so disgusting in my life . There was an acrid after taste of vinegar, in fact it tasted like mango chutney with a hint of curry. This concoction was inedible and had to be thrown away. The Spring stew (code for vegetable broth with lemon juice) was inedible, all I could taste was lemon. I threw this down the toilet and ended up eating the roasted vegetables on their own. I also ordered the blueberry lemon pots. The blueberry jelly did not taste like blueberry and the crunchy topping was soggy with water accumulating at the top. The taste and texture made them inedible. The plus side is that I can repurpose the pots and use them to make my own bircher. As for the aubergine parm sandwich, well I am not even going to attempt to create this dish. I will use the aubergine for something else and bin the sauces. Also the amount of plastic that is being used is ridiculous. I am now out of pocket and hungry thank you

Ive been vegan for 10 years and was keen to try this. IMO the food is pre-packed junk. Other meal box companies teach you a bit about cooking but this is just heat up rubbish. Ignore the hype!
