Never had any problems at this newsagents, always friendly and attentive staff and a good selection of papers/mags, stationery and general household items.

Awful experience. People with hidden health conditions/disabilities should avoid this shop at all costs. I have a throat condition that affects my ability to swallow and take deep breaths, so I am often unable to wear a mask. I am also autistic so I don't like things touching my face. I entered the shop clearly wearing my sunflower lanyard (as suggested by my GP) rather than a mask and the smug man behind the counter told me to wear a mask, taking one from behind the counter to give to me. I pointed out my lanyard to him but he smirked and muttered something sarcastically to himself (along the lines of, "pah, yeah, OK"). His patronising female colleague (wife?) then said that because I'm able to get sunflower lanyards for free in some shops, they were essentially suspicious of anyone wearing one. The bloke continued to smirk and mutter to himself the whole time so I left. I always do my best to support independent shops (this shop was out of my way but I thought I'd visit it instead of going to WHSmith, etc.) but I will never go back here again. Anyone else with health conditions should also avoid it.
