Too expensive I know as a small chemist you need to add a charge to your items but that was way over the top very disappointing

This has been my to-go pharmacy for 5+ years since Lloyds (closed) have let me down due to lack of service and terrible communication for prescriptions between GP to pharmacy, and stress of getting regular prescriptions. It has been great to go in to get prescriptions or ask questions and have always been greated with excellent and welcoming service. One of the staff, however, who has been there for a while is always rude and short. Although I normally tolerate it as everything else was cool, I was let down the last time I picked up a contraceptive prescription. I tried to explain after her short do you pay for your prescription ( bear in mind no hello or checking for a line of address while I greeted and thanked her) that while I normally pay I understood as this was a contraception that its exempted. She only repeated herself before I could finish answering her and because it was busy I felt highly rushed and embarrassed. I decided to ring only to have her answer. After I explained it she only sighed through the phone and said to come back with the prescription. When I got to the shop she rudely pointed and reached for the prescription without word. It was still busy and she loudly exclaimed that it was a hormone therapy treatment and I was to pay. Now really embarrassed with all eyes on me when she said this for everyone to hear, I said I would know because Ive just been to the GP to have the contraception and be taught to do at home as I do not have the time to go to my GP every 12 weeks that the GP would know what to prescribe. She said she will ask the pharmacist again. Came back, no apology, and said to put my card in the reader for a refund. Again, no acknowledgement of her fault or mistake. It was like it was an inconvenience for her to sort it out. Really upset that its come to this but I know Im not alone. Normally I just get what I need and be done with it but this time she really went out of her way to be unhelpful and spiteful. Its a shame because the other two female staff that were there have been welcoming ( as I was waiting a while for the prescription) and always seem to genuinely want to help. Maybe shes just had a bad day but she seems to be in a bad mood every time you go in. Otherwise, the opening times are good if you work late, helpful advice from pharmacist and smooth request of prescriptions.

I started thinking this was a good chemist but after a string of things going wrong over two days I'm not so sure. Yesterday arriving to pick up a prescription to be met by someone eating a sandwich and being told my prescription was not sent by the doctor. The next day the doctor sent me the bar code and told me the prescription was there hours beforehand the previous day. The next day I go in and same lady was serving. I requested a form FP57 which is needed to be able to claim back the cost of prescriptions whilst waiting for an exemption certificate. She apparently did not know what one of these forms were. I had to explain in very simple terms twice what the form was to then be told they had no forms and the pharmacist was in a meeting. I had to have my prescriptions so had to pay. I was made to feel very small when explaining why I needed the form. I now cannot claim 3 prescription charges! Left my number for the pharmacist to call of which never came. I will ask for any emergency prescriptions to be sent to Lloyd's instead.
