The Half Moon

We went on a Sunday to the half moon. It was taken over a year ago and the new landlady was very friendly and welcoming. The food was very good - my MIL said the salmon salad was one of the tastiest she has had because it had so much variety. Roast portions were very generous. The restaurant area is good, but we went through the bar area and it let it down a bit as it smelt like smoking (nobody was smoking in there, not sure of the source).

Proper home made roast dinner like your mother might have made, good home cooked roast dinner. And a nice little touch of some Easter eggs on out table at Easter time. Will be goi g back, highly recommend

Lovely hospitality and a cracking mushroom soup. A welcoming fire on a damp day made it very comfortable.

Great food and service. Value for money. We would highly recommend the sharing platter of olives, humous, red peppers, and ciabatta bread. Main meal portions were enormous (no room for dessert) and extremely tasty. We thoroughly enjoyed the music, which created a brilliant atmosphere.

The pub is under new ownership and are clearly making an effort to improve the image and reputation of the pub. The Sunday roast was fantastic and I loved that there was a pool table and old-school space Invaders/pacman arcade game in the main pub. Worth a visit.
