My son spent the last year here before starting school and I couldn't be happier with our choice to put him there. Fabulous and nurturing staff, equipment and resources are lovely and well looked after, excellent communication, the list goes on. I'd highly recommend this nursery to anyone!

A wonderful nursery! My eldest son loved it, my middle son has a fantastic time and I'm sure my youngest son will too when he joins in the new year! A wide range of educational and fun activities make the most of the indoor and exciting outdoor space. Activities and updates are discussed daily as well as being shared frequently through Tapestry so I always have a good insight to my son's development. The team are thoughtful, always helpful and caring towards the children and parents. A great setting with great staff. I'm really pleased my children have been able to attend - and, more importantly, so are my boys!

Wouldn't go near this place with a barge pole. Having pulled my child from there, I was accused of some very unpleasant things by the owners and manager. They are simply vile. I am so glad to recommend Diggers not far from Midhurst, a real forest school with wonderful staff who have been there for years. Our child thrived there. Sadly the country mouse can't hold onto staff as they treat them so poorly, so there is a revolving door of Carers. They do their absolute best, but the owner is so nasty to them, they simply can't stay. As an edit, I am not a competitor as the owner has ridiculously claimed. I came when this was the learning tree, and was given 3 hours notice of closure when they informed us they were permanently closing at 2pm on a Monday, giving us 3 hours notice to collect our child and find alternate childcare). This was also after finding the local pub landlord to run the nursery for two weeks, who was a very heavy smoker, and now runs the Elstead inn as she is a pub-landlord by trade, not a nursery manager. I then returned, naively, being assured things had changed, when it became the country mouse. I then pulled out my child, who had attended since 7 months old. This is not a small family run nursery, but a chain, run by a woman who also threatened me on the phone when I said I was handing our notice into the nursery. I also know nearly 10 ex members of staff, all who have horrific stories of working for this lady. They are pushed to extremes by her, and then she blames them when they leave for her having no staff (which is why they ended up closing when they were the learning tree, as the staff left leaving them with not enough people to run safely.) It is also laughable the owner says this is a fake review, yet feels comfortable leaving her very own review as one of the first ones on here (which I have screenshotted as no doubt she will no delete this and call me a liar again.)

I could not be happier with The Country Mouse, Midhurst; an excellent nursery! I love the creative approach and free play to support childrens learning and development. The nursery itself is spacious and light and the outdoor area is very well equipped too a great space all the children seem to enjoy; bugs, mud, climbing and lots of laughing! Walks around the local area are also a favourite. My 5 year old thrived during his time here and left full of confidence and well prepared for his next stages. My 2 year old now attends and simply loves every day. He normally goes in with ease but on the occasions where there is a wobble the team are wonderfully supportive and compassionate. I know my son is smiling moments later and they reassure me with a call if needed. The whole team are caring, friendly and always helpful. My sons have always been happy at nursery and return home with stories of fun experiences and some wonderful crafts! A great nursery setting and team; everything a parent and child could want!
