I do not recommend anyone to book a car through this company. It is absolutely unserious! My camper, which I booked 2 months ago, was cancelled yesterday by the owner E. Cohen, on the grounds that there had been a double booking through leisure rentals direct. A week before our trip. We had made a binding booking via the website and signed a contract. As renters, we had strict cancellation deadlines. But when the owner cancelled, he simply ignored our contractual agreement and made himself legally liable. The flights are booked but we are now without a motorhome. Since their cancellation we were not able to contact the customer service, no replacement and the deposit has not been returned. The links from the email to the advert have been disabled and I have no way of contacting or prosecuting the owner.

Avoid this company at all cost. It could cost you a lot of money if you have an accident. I booked a motor home. It clearly stated on their website that insurance was included in the hire costs. During booking there was a owners terms and conditions link, when I clicked on it the only information provided was Driving license will need to be checked on acceptance of booking. However, after paying for the rental I was given a whole list of terms and conditions which did not insure me for the vehicle. I was informed by the owner that I would need to take out my own insurance. I decided to cancel the booking immediately as I was not insured. This resulted in leisure rentals retaining a 106 service fee. When I contacted Leisure Rentals they were not concerned that their site was not displaying the correct terms and conditions and that they were advertising insurance included when this was not the case. Leisure rentals may respond to this saying that insurance was included or that I accepted full terms and conditions but I will leave it for you to decide who to believe. Trading standards have been contacted.

Not impressed with site, I know all very last minute, tried to look for Motorhome for this weekend and all availability showed Motorhomes were available when they are not, so time consuming!

Tried to book a rental but it wasn't available for the week I requested. I've had 573 deposit now in pending limbo for the last 10 days. I did look at booking another camper but if I had the same outcome that would be another deposit in pending limbo. If the rentals aren't available why doesn't the money get paid straight back to the account.
