Obviously things have moved on. I was a bright eyed, keen school leaver in 1994 & got accepted at TTE. I think i was 1 of 150 trainees that year. In the first 2 years we trained on numerous trades, to choose what we preferred to specialise on. I chose Electrics but swiftly changed & became a time served "Turner/Machinist. Then in my 2nd year i was put on the job training ,where i was employed after my final 4th year training. Its always been a proud part of my life, even though i retrained as a Gas Engineer, a few years later. But whatever you choose to specialise in, it is a stepping stone, a invaluable experience that youll remember forever, with great fondness. Good luck.
