Went yesterday with my mum to get my second tattoo after being kind of disappointed with my first from a different studio. The staff were friendly, welcoming and attentive. The artist that I saw Becca was friendly and outgoing helping me to feel immediately at ease. All facilities were clean and instructions for aftercare were easy to follow and provided at the end of the session. I booked in for a tattoo by Sophie. She had to cancel the appointment due to the shutter being broken which was fine. We spoke about being scheduled back in but it was no good for me as I've a little baby. I said it best just to leave it as I knew I wouldn't be free, I then messaged again about getting my deposit back and I was ignored. The next day I went onto ringing the shop they said that Sophie would message me later on about it so I said that's fine. Shock, I never received a message from her, my partner the next day rang again and Sophie herself spoke and said she'd have to ask her boss if a refund was allowed to be given as it was no one's fault that the appointment was cancelled. Which no it wasn't her fault about the shutter but still it was her to cancel. I put a post up of my experience which she commented on saying she's too busy to be reading messages, also said that I wasn't cancelled on and that the shutter had broken, yes the shutter which is a problem on your end so if I'm not allowed to attend my appointment because of something from your side of things then that is you cancelling. It all came across very unprofessional. It could have been handled a lot differently. I've also not received my refund. I've seen someone else have a similar experience so it must just be what they do now. I'll never understand businesses like this. Quick to take your money and keep it if you cancel or don't show up, but do anything in their power to keep that money if it's a cancellation on their side .
