Tollesby Hall Nursing Home

Please think before sending a family member here worst decision I ever made my father lost 6kg in 4 weeks staying there and had numerous issues look at other places I made the mistake and wouldn't want anyone else to go thru what he did, one day he asked a member of staff to phone me to sort out a issue there answer to him have you not got a mobile my father only has the use on one arm due to a stroke so can't use a mobile I received no phone call so my father remained in a distressed state until I called to visit 5 hours later.Everyday something had gone wrong I hated walking in to the home wondering what I was going into. They do have some good members of staff but the problems out weigh this why should the same person apologise for others behaviour. My father is on a soft and bit size diet and every other day was offered sandwiches things rhat he can't eat I now have the issue if trying to build a very now frail 88year old person back up. I had to get a social worker involved to help me get my father home for his own well being I would never allow him to go into a home for rehabilitation from a hospital stay if it wasn't for help from the occupational therapists to get the equipment fast to get him home I don't know what would have happened to him

I currently live at Tollesby Hall. It's a lovely place to live,I made many friends staff and other residents alike,there are lots of activities,bingo ;painting,I am able to go in the garden,where I do weeding,sweeping leaves and generally keeping outside tidy which I love as it gets me outside in the flesh air which I love . People have their own bedrooms with their possessions from home, pics,photos ornaments ,TV and music system all you would have at home. There are various lounges to sit in where it's a communal place to sit and talk watch TV,talk ,and just relax If you want to be quiet you can always stay in your bedroom. All the staff are brilliant ,so helpful can't do enough to help people. The food is good with a great selection of food to meet everybody's dietary needs. There are numerous nurses and carers if you need any advice. We also go out on day trips to Cinema,Garden Centres, places of interest,various Seaside sides for days out fish and chips, I would not want to live anywhere else.

Tollesby Care Home... It started with a meeting that nobody wanted to have but ended with a beautiful ending to a loved mans life. Tollesby isnt a normal care home its not a Care home at all its a real home a place where you go and feel safe loved and part of a family. Tollesby is a place of truly compassionate, amazing inspirational people! Every single member of staff go above and beyond to look after every single resident. My Dad didnt have careers he had friends these friends with time become family! Never did I know how important these people would become! Personally I still come too the home now even after the hardest days of my life I find comfort seeing all the staff and having a bag of qwavers. To remember all the good memories with them! Because even when times where hard they all found the time to smile and laugh with us when we needed it most. For that I I couldnt be grateful enough! Forever grateful for everyone and the amazing care home!
