Lovely place well it could be if it was looked after and done all up it would be a great place for the kids but it has just been left to ruin and it's not fair because there is memorial benches in there and if that persons family knew it's been left to wreck and ruin what a upset that would be it was opened by prince Charles it's such a shame xx

Sadly due to council cuts this environmental 'park' is no longer open to the public, except for special events. I went to the annual apple picking event. At this you can pick apples for free from the orchard of heritage apple and pear trees. There is a lovely atmosphere at the event and there are obviously a lot of apples to pick to take home and to either eat, bake with or gift to friends. All the apples are completely organic and so are not perfect as you would buy in a shop. It saddens me that the place although not abandoned is quite overgrown in parts and all the children's outdoor play areas are no fenced off or deconstructed. Well done however to The Friends of Nature World' a group of volunteers who manage the site, who with no funding manage to keep it as a local resource that could once again become viable if the funds become available.
