My car was in the body shop for repair at Middlesbrough branch after a non-fault accident. When I collected it, I discovered one area of damage had not been repaired so they've kept the car to do what they should've done in the first place. Avoid!!

Had a chat with their excellent ManagerToby who sorted out a great deal on an MG. He has a couple of pre facelift MG5 estates at stupid discounts if you are quick!

I have not bought a new car for a long time and found the whole process a lot easier than I expected. The manager, Toby, gave me a lot of help and advice without being pushy and putting me under pressure to buy. I was given time and space to reflect and he was open and honest about the availability to supply my needs. Takie, a salesman, was equally informative and helpful. I would highly recommend the sales department. I have been to other garages and not had great experiences. Look forward to future dealings.

Good afternoon This is the reason I gave you a one star rating: I waited two weeks from the original date of taking my car in for repairs, as the courtesy car had not been returned by a customer. I said that I would continue using my own vehicle until the courtesy car became available. When my car was written off by the insurance company I called in to the Middlesbrough depot to transfer my personal belongings and roof bars from my car into the courtesy car. As I was doing so, the body shop supervisor came over to me and asked what I was doing. I explained the situation to him, but he refused to let me offsite again with the courtesy car. I told him that I lived in Whitby, which is over 30 miles from Middlesbrough, and that I hadn't a way to take my personal belongings with me. He replied that another customer needed the courtesy car. I then told him that I waited two weeks, yet he wasn't letting me take my things and bring it the following day, on the Saturday morning. He still refused, and suggested he would sign a release note for my own car, which would have meant driving without a valid MOT. I refused. I then had to take a taxi to the train station which cost me 5, and a train ticket for the Las train to Whitby at 6.10 pm at a further cost of 8. It was almost 8pm by the time I arrived home. I had to borrow a friend's car the next day to collect my belongings, and the courtesy car was still where I'd left it - unwashed. So much for a customer needing it! Following my experience, I will never recommend Stoneacre to anyone, even though prior to this terrible customer service I had previously spoken with Mark the supervisor, telling him how efficient his guys had been with the mot. Personally, I got the impression that he wasn't happy that I had cancelled the work on my car following the failed MOT.
