PRO'S : 1. A secure place. 2. Can have good privacy. 3. Can meet new friends from different places. 4. Good room service. CON'S: 1. Need to negotiate the rent amount before you make agreement otherwise you gonna end up with high rent. 2. Need to make sure your deposit is refundable at the end of your contract over. Otherwise they will name it as "reservation fees" for the room and they WON'T REFUND your money.(even though you book your room two days before your enter) 3. A secure place but not a safe place. The admin/manager/room service can enter your room without your knowledge. Any mistakes done you are going to pay fine minimum worth of 100. Example: If the gate is not closed properly, If they find any dirt/not Turning off the lights in the common place, etc. 4. Make sure your room is perfect. Visit your room before paying any money. If the Electricals not working properly, room heaters won't work in the old building. they will take at least a month to get them done. Sometimes it may take 5 months. (I personally experienced). 5. Make a contract for short duration as much as possible. Even if you don't like the place and try to move, they won't allow you until the contract over. Try to pay the rent in installments (every month is possible). And pay through only the bank transfer. (No receipts will be given for paying through cash.) 6. You can't use your own electricals. Even though the central heating system in my room is not working, I am not allowed to use an mini heater bought in Tesco. 7. Rent. It's higher than any other students accomodations in Middlesbrough compared to the facilities they have. 8. There are only two common washing machines for the whole accommodation. So you need to rush for your time.
