We got our full downstairs done by these in a herringbone style and both the product and service are both worth the 5* review. If your thinking of going down the engineered wood line I wouldn't both, just give these guys a call.

As a painter I meet plenty of different trades, and after three days watching these guys put the most beautiful oak floor down, I would rate them highly. Hard working and professional.

Naturally Oak flooring on the 25th of June 2020 naturally oak flooring installed an oak parquet wood floor in the hall way of my home, I choose this company as I believed that they were a very professional company, there mission statement is quality is not expensive, it is priceless on the initial survey of the hall I pointed out to the manager of naturally oak flooring that the concrete floor was not level as there were bumps in the floor ,he assured me that this was not a problem as the installation team would grind it flat, I still had my concerns and 4 weeks before the installation I pleaded with the manager to send the installation team to check it, this was refused, when the installation team turned up to install the floor, although their English was poor I gathered they had deep concerns with the bumps in the floor and I was then informed they would have to screed the floor to bring it level, which they did using a screed applied with a hand trowel, the next day a damp proof membrane was applied and then the solid wood parquet floor installed which took approx. 3 days Approx 1-2 weeks later the time served carpenter I have used for many years arrived to fit the oak skirting board and he expressed concerns with the level of the floor. Measured with a 2m straight edge there were gaps of between 7-8mm in the height in various areas of the floor, he said he would have to scallop the skirting board, he advised me that I could rearrange furniture in way of the worst areas, I reported this to naturally oak flooring and was told this is normal and to be expected. In autumn of 2020 I noticed cupping between some of the boards and again I reported this to Naturally oak flooring who came and inspected the floor and I was told that the problem was the moisture content of my hall was too high, but he would contact me after Christmas and have another look which he never did. I have measured the moisture in my hall, and it is the same as the rest of my house, I have made repeated attempts to contact Naturally oak flooring all to no avail so I presume that the guarantee is worthless So why did this happen, Havwoods one of the leading suppliers of hard wood flooring in the UK state that. A, concrete floor should be levelled using a self levelling compound as a poured or pumped screed rarely achieves the required levels of BS SR1, therefore it is recommended that a self levelling compound is always used as it provides a more uniform surface to achieve the BS SR1 tolerance of no more than 3mm under a 2m straight edge, Naturally oak flooring did not do this, B, all solid hard wood flooring should acclimatize within the property for a least 2 weeks prior to installation to ensure that it has the same moisture level as the house, acclimatising is used to balance the wood flooring with the environment in the installation area, (this is to prevent cupping and gaps) Naturally oak flooring did not acclimatize the oak flooring before installing, hence the cupping Naturally oak flooring state that quality is not expensive it is priceless, then if they believe what they have written in their sales literature they should conform to the standards laid down in the British Standards and recommended by Havwoods the leading supplier of wood flooring in the UK instead of using the slap dash installation methods they have used installing my hard wood parquet floor, Would I recommend this company, Absolutely not. Naturally oak flooring laid flooring throughout the downstairs floor of my house and I can't praise them enough. From the initial consultation when Neil came and took me through what options might work. I was lead towards the right option rather than the most expensive. The quality of the boards are excellent too. I went for the rustic look with plenty of knots etc. I had to go back offshore last minute so wasn't home for the fitting But my fianc said all she had to do was basically let them get on. The fellas fitting were very polite and she said they just grafted. And when they laft absoloutly no mess or dust. We thought we'd be dusting for days and were concerned as Rebecca was pregnant, but non. It was like they'd not been. This was probably one of the most impressive things. We were asked if we wanted any cables running under etc. which I hadn't thought of but once asked decided to and it makes things so much easier. Great idea. I've attached a few photo's below but as good as it looks... It's better, there are just showing some of the detail. the floor is desperate for a good clean but with a 3 month year old baby here deciding what happens when it's overdue. The main reason I'd advise naturally Oak is the craftmanship. The detail of the work is excellent. No little bit's here or there out of sight not to the excellent standard every square inch of the floor is perfect. There's not one tiny bit that isn't perfect. Anyway generally I need to say... Firstly if you're thinking you want wood flooring down and are undecided, go for it. It's great honestly you won't regret it as long at whoever fits it is good. It's really made out house homely, Love it. Second. Saying that out of all the companies who come out and priced; Neil was the lad who actually helped us decide how we want it fitted, not just we can do it. I in no way can knock the politeness of others they were all great but I just feel Neil sort of was a bit more passionate about the actual finished product, explaining this and that. They make there own flooring not just buy it in and it's treat with full ownership and the quality is much better than what I've been shown and looked at in shops. 100% satisfaction... If anyone wants more photos etc all good. Marty
