Smashed from pillow to post counselling sessions bring up trauma then left to stew in a flat. Disgusting treatment all round. after been in financial difficulty an losing accommodation they just handed me an eviction notice an told to leave. Left in a worst state than came in as martin pearce said they only think about funding and easy tenants that are easy to manage. This place needs to have a serious restructure of protocols in place

My son was given a place at Hardwick House in June 2021. He is ex military, suffers with PTSD, paranoia, bipolar and other mental health issues. His problems are so complex he was estranged from family although we still support him into accommodation and mental health/addiction services. He has an alcohol addiction and at the time was sofa surfing with friends. We were totally honest with Riverside Housing as to his issues but were assured they were experienced in dealing with such issues. I was even allowed to bring food to the centre which was placed in his room and fridge by staff. His issues meant he attended hospital on his first day and after two days Riverside decided they could not help and literally threw him onto the streets on a Friday night. The only explanation given was his needs were too complex for their services. I have experience of Riverside with their nearby sister site at Stages Academy. They boast awards for changing lives but in my experience they cherry pick the clients they feel are the easier ones to assist. Anything difficult they do not deal with. I wouldnt trust this organisation and believe they are more concerned with winning awards and securing funding than genuinely assisting those that need it.
