Day off Saturday morning call at 8am to do a shop with my partner. Got to the store strolling around the store at the pasta section M&S staff mopping the floor with a floor buffer I was trying to select my pasta felt rushed and intimidated by a floor cleaner she kept charging by me hitting my trolley then did a u turn and interrupted me again on the way back . Not a very pleasant experience I think the floor needs doing before shoppers enter the store not while there is traffic on the shop floor. Needs employees training of educated on how to handle industry powers tool while customers are on the shop floor

I always liked this store and use it once or twice a week when I'm in the area. However today, I used the new self service check outs and, as they do, it asked me to remove my last item from the bag, which I did and it didn't rectify the issue as it usually would. I stood and waited while the red light on the machine flashed, nonone came. The only staff member near by was already helping another customer, so I waited a while longer then just tried to get their attention to let them know the red light was on, which I thought once they were done with their current customer they would be able to help me. Unfortunately, while trying to raise attention, all I was met with from the nearby staff member, with red hair and glasses, was pure rudeness delivered with a nasty tone, when I tried to explain it was just because of my till light was still on and I couldn't proceed any further with bagging my other items etc, I got spoken over and talked down to, again rudely with an aggressive tone. When she did finally come to sort it out, she turned her back to me and didn't even attempt any sort of level of politeness, let alone the level of customer service I'd expect from M&S.
