Marks and Spencer

Popped in today before it closes on the 15th April, looked like a skeleton M&S, barely any customers, stock depleted, scaled down staff - such a shame, you could always count on M&S for everything. Never thought I'd see the day that it was closing its doors.

I love marks because I don't go often so it's a treat. It's always clean and staff helpful when needed. The oranges last a good while from here, I don't know how but they do and keep taste. Got a great meal deal of steak and veg and it's some of the best I've ever tasted. So so sad we'll be losing this shop soon.

I bought a clothing product from the shop and they will not allow me to return the item only tried on once in store and at home. I went to return in shop and presented a legal proof of purchase and I had some disgruntled employee talk to me like scum and not honour my return. I spoke to the online customer service team who agreed this is totally unacceptable and directly told me they would solve this issue by emailing their customer service team. Now I have electronic emails directly saying they will not honour my return, despite a legal proof of purchase. This is directly going against the Consumer Rights Act 2015. I implore people not to not buy products from this company, they do not valued or respect basic laws and regulations and will treat you with the utmost disrespect and discrimination. Words fail how angry and disgusted that this is allowed, absolutely shameful and a true show of the brands immeasurable lack of integrity.

It's sad to hear the store close soon. That hope is not true. Since we often buy things here and don't like to go up to Teeside to buy, it's too far and not convenient for non-drivers and the elderly. And I'm one of them. Please don't close the door, listen to the customer's opinion.Thank you.

Visited this M&S store just over a week ago with my partner, bought a number of items extremely impressed with the mens ranges, however I had to return to the store last Friday to exchange one item for a different size I tried to locate the same item, unfortunately I couldnt find it, I approached a sales consultant called Katie Firstly her approach to help was excellent, it was identified that my size wasnt in store, Katie went through my M&S app, educated me on how to get the item sent to a store close to where I work, showed me when it would arrive and dealt with my exchange What Katie showed me was a mix of personal support / attention with modern technology If everyone spent time with customers like me, the instire experience would be appreciated by everyone I will return to buy in store as I still prefer to see items first hand but I would certainly use the app / online to purchase items too Thankyou M&S for having some great fashionable mens clothing ( which I never previously appreciated) Thankyou Katie as the way you assisted me, greatly appreciated
