        Kelda Garthr is a nicely appointed holiday house with magnificent views across the dale (valley), even better in the sunshine! There is a castle (English Heritage) well worth a visit in this little town of Middleham (not a village as we were reminded by some of the locals!). The lady in the Castle was very helpful and informative. We dined in the White Swan a couple of times and the service and food was good. Some lovely birds visited the gardens whilst we were there, and lovely watching the parents feeding, and to top it all theres a book there so you can check what they were. Its a good base to visit the various attractions in the area. Highly recommended.
