Burton Constable Hall & Grounds

Walked from the caravan park (where we parked the car) with the dog along to Burton Constable Hall cafe area around the outside of the field where they keep the sheep. Popped in the cafe for a coffee and a scone each with cream and jam which came to 15. Expensive but you can expect that when there's nowhere else to eat around abouts. My wife decided to take a look at the bits and bobs in the adjoining shop, where she was told by the woman on the tills she had watched us walk up on camera and that we should've paid 7.99 to come into the cafe from the caravan end(News to me, as I've done this walk quite a few times over the years without any hassle). and that there were signs all over (we saw none). Needless to say we will not be using the place again due to this ridiculous rule that has only been put in place this year and also the snotty attitude of the woman on the tills (or head receptionist) as she called herself. Be warned people. The place has turned into a rip off
