Its so rare to get real home cooked food in a pub these days but the owners of the Wrygarth delivered again. Sad to see their closing at end of October 22 but we wish them the very very best.

Myself and the hubby visit the area regularly to stay in our motor home locally, we have been to the pub often for drinks but never eaten here, we decided that we should try the food so went for a Saturday evening meal and a few drinks, on arrival (6pm ish) the pub was pretty quiet, we found a dog friendly table then I went to the bar to get some drinks and a menu, our order was taken for steak pie and gammon both served with chips and peas, after a fairly long wait our meals arrived, both the pie and gammon was ok but both meals were served with chips that looked like theyd been cooked more than once and very bitty, no actual whole chips just like the scraps out of the bottom of a frozen bag! Portions were a bit child like too I didnt even get asked if everything was ok when I went to pay our bill so that kind of says it all to me. All in all we were so disappointed that we left not bothering with dessert or even another drink. Maybe we went on a bad day but very much doubt we will go again which is a shame.
