Oaklands

This is a small fantastic care home. The management, the carers, the cooks, the housekeeping, and the district nurses all really care passionately about the residents. Nothing is too much trouble. It is comfortable, homely and safe. The food is home cooked and nourishing and special requirements are catered for. Outside is a lovely garden which is well maintained with seating, bird feeders and plenty of space for residents to enjoy summer weather. Our Dad has settled in well and is getting the care and support he needs. I have waited 3 months before posting this and would have no hesitation in recommending.

Lovely little carehome with a warm homely atmosphere. You can see all the carers & the owner care about all the residents. The food is freshly cooked & my mum thoroughly enjoyed it along with the activities. I would of given a extra star but i was disappointed with way we were asked to clear my mum's belongings when she was moving out (via hospital 1st). We were asked to pack her some clothes then given 2 refused sacks & ask to get her remaining belongings too!! I did feel it was rather unsympathetic & callous given the situation. Apart from that i couldn't fault it
