We saw the car online and arranged to go and view it on 14/04- We were told the car had no faults, they just said it would be serviced and MOT and a new grill. We rang our finance company and signed all the documents and we were told by Gary the car would be ready the following week. It wasnt. Another 3 weeks went by with no car. Each week something else was wrong with the car. Upon being told a now 4th different time and ringing for an update we were told they were still waiting for a part. After waiting 4 weeks for this car I told Gary that if it wasnt ready this weekend we may have to pull out and look elsewhere as it wasnt good enough. Gary said let me know because I have someone else lined up for it. He had the audacity to tell my partner he knew we were never going to go through with the car and that after he had finished on the phone with me he had taken a deposit from someone else within minutes. Why would they have someone else lined up for the car that was technically sold and we had signed the finance documents for and were waiting for the car to be done. If we didnt want the car as Gary stated then we would not have wasted 4 weeks waiting for it to be ready and ringing the garage every week for updates on it. Through the whole process we never got to see the car running or test drive it despite asking multiple times. Once the question was completely ignored and the second time it was refused as the car was cutting out The car was apparently cutting out due to a recalled part. This car has no outstanding recalls. I respect that parts from dealerships can take a while and that the garage is in essence a 3rd party in that scenario but the lack of contact from the garage for updated and information about the car wasnt good enough. We truly believe Gary already had someone lined up for the car after we had said we wanted it and that excuses were made to elongate the process forcing us to walk away so that the other person could have the vehicle. The finance company apologised on their behalf due to the service we received and said they have not deal with a car taking that long of a period to be ready. We rang our finance company and signed all the documents and we were told by Gary the car would be ready the following week. It wasnt.
