Having been with this doctors surgery for the last 4 years, i have reached the point where i now must find a way to get back to my previous one (park leys practice) who i was with for over 20 years. The reception staff that i have encountered (i believe the name is Jill) is the most arrogant, unhelpful, uncompassionate person i have ever had to deal with, leading me to make a formal complaint to Joanne hope (practise manager) who sent me a large email back detailing my wish to see a specific doctor, could not be accommodated ?? At no point did i ask to see a specific doctor i just wanted to see a doctor about a medical complaint i have been complaining about for over 3 months yet i still have not seen a doctor ! i did receive a call back (that i missed as unfortunately as i do have to work ) i called back 15 minutes after to be told "you missed your call, phone back at 8.30 tomorrow sharp and book another call back". This is not the first time i have had problems with this doctors, I previously got advised by the opticians that i may be suffering from glaucoma, they wrote to the doctors advising more investigation was required, however i ended up paying for a private consultation as after 6 months nothing had been arranged. Again I have had to pay for a private consultation, as i cannot put a price on my health and the constant battle of trying to see my nhs gp is just too much !! It does beg the question, how many people have just give up trying to get an appointment and are putting there health at risk because of this doctors ?

Never in all my life have I experienced a more unhelpful, rude and uncompassionate reception (except Tracy who has been very helpful in the past) I do not appreciate being treated like an idiot or being talked down to. Generally, when you are in need of the services a Doctor's offers, you do not need the added aggravation of being treated so poorly or made to feel like you are inconveniencing them.
