Always knew this was going to be a challenge for Shiny Side Up.... however James absolutely smashed it !! I'm not one for cleaning, so after close to 3 years of ownership and the occasional winter jet wash and an impromptu baby wipe and dry wax, it's never on my agenda to clean the Beast. Having said that, the epic transformation from looking like it's been dragged from the canal, to an exhibition piece at the NEC Bike Show was amazing. James from Shiny Side up was very diligent in his work, fuelled with plenty of cups of tea, he explained the processes and managed to get into all of those spots that really make a difference to the end result. Cleaned, treated, shined and sealed... so even I can maintain a reasonable level of clean (should I feel the need). I've been advised on a few cleaning tips and options of chemicals to keep the bike in top condition, including a plea to please clean the wheels 'apparently hot brake dust and chain lube aren't the best' ! I've added a few images to help paint a picture... albeit, James at Shiny Side Up took the Beast from a well abused Paris Dakar contender, to a shining example worthy of Moto GP quality finish. I cant tell you how pleased I am with the final result and it was more than cost effective considering the non stop 5 hours James spent primping, pruning and polishing. 5* isn't enough..... Thanks James If you need a proper cost effective bike detailing service (by a biker) in the Midlands, then you wont need to look any further than James at Shiny Side Up, a full diary is testament to his commitment to Shiny Bikes !! I purchased a brand new Street Triple R (first bike) and had come across Shiny Side Up on forums and Facebook. The work looked amazing so I had to try it. I had a new bike prep including winter protection with XCP. All I can say is WOW. I thought the bike looked amazing when I collected it from the Triumph dealership. I took it straight to Shiny Side Up and a few hours later the bike looked UNREAL. Better than out of the dealership. I wont be using any other detailer for my bike other than Shiny Side Up. Ive even purchased some of their amazing cleaning products. The bike will still be going back for a professional touch though :-) the whole process was excellent, the owner James was extremely accommodating and kept me updated through the whole process. 10/10.
