La Perla Restaurant

We visited La Perla last night after looking at Trip Advisor reviews and decided to give it a go, we live in Hinckley so booked a hotel stay for the night, so the pressure was on for it to be fantastic. Im glad to say, the restaurant and its staff did not disappoint! We were the only people dining for most of our stay as it was a quiet Tuesday night, we were made to feel instantly welcome, the staff were so attentive and friendly and the restaurant itself looks amazing and is kind of quirky as well. On to the most important part, the food, it would be an understatement to say it was incredible! We both had steak and it was the best we have both ever tasted, perfectly cooked and my peppercorn sauce was to die for! The starters were also ridiculously good! I could eat there every night, and its wasnt even that much of an expensive night, it was worth every penny. Then there was the sangria! I cant believe more places dont do their own home made sangria, it was lovely and really complimented the meal. All of the staff, especially the lady serving us were just great, I know it was quiet, but I could easily imagine them being as amazing if it was busy. We will definitely come back and eat here again, even if it is a 45 minute drive to get there, totally worth it.

We had a meal with our daughter & son-in-law on 23rd September and chose the special which the chef recommended. My husband and I both agreed this was the best meal we had ever had at any restaurant in Melton. The owner & his staff were all very attentive.

This restaurant was recommended to me by a work colleague, and as I was in town on business, I decided to pop in, I was warmly greeted by, as it turned out, the owner, Sacha, who welcomed me in, I had the place to myself for the duration of my meal, I was served by the very courteous Milosz, and the super sweet Maddie who, between them, took very good care of me, the meal was delicious and customises to my taste as I am not keen on spicy food, Sacha came out to personally check on how I would like the meal prepared and was very accommodating, as the evening progressed, Sacha was regularly out of his kitchen to chat to me, and during one of these conversations, it transpired that he like myself are both Army Veterans, but he of the Spanish Army, so we swapped some stories, so all in all, a great evening was had. Just a couple of items of some constructive criticism, the music was a little loud, but was turned down at my request, and as I was sat next to the kitchen, I could hear everything that was being said, and may I politely request that items be placed in the sink and not chucked in, those large stainless sinks, when empty, create a lot of noise, sorry to end on a negative, you may not be aware that could be an issue, many thanks for a great evening, and if I am ever back in town, I will make it my mission to revisit this restaurant.
