Had the pleasure in dealing with Simon at Melsonby today for the first time. I traded in & took a gun in return. Very fair prices both ways with great advice. I can't recommend Gilsans high enough. More than a 5 star experience.

Gilsans are my local outdoor sports retailer, which is great for me because they are a friendly, knowledgeable group of people, who genuinely have the best customer service I've experienced. I've purchased cartridges and clothing from them over the last year or so, but recently they've been helping get my shotgun repaired by the manufacturer (a gun they didn't sell) - and have been so ridiculously helpful, it's redefined my concept of customer care. After trying several guns while mine is off being fixed, this has continued with them helping me today with the purchase of a shotgun from them - I'll not go into details, but, suffice to say, I'm confident no other dealer would have sorted out this gun, even if they could have. Exceptional customer care, genuinely lovely staff. Sincere thanks to Simon, Lewis, Craig, Mags, and the four-legged welcoming committee. I recommend this store wholeheartedly.
