        Super pub. Spot on. Gorgeous old cosy building. Polite and friendly landlord and team. Tasty home made proper food. Right next to Tarka Trail. Delicious ale. My favourite pub no question.

        Nice friendly village pub. A good place to stop off whilst we were out cycling the tarka trail which was close by. Very pleasant indeed.

        This lovely pub we found following the tarka trail south from great torrington. Brilliant and quaint. Fat Chips are something special - crisp on the outside and really fluffy on the inside. We enjoyed two burgers and drinks which came up to around 30. All was clean, neat and tidy. The service and welcome was nice. They have several local ciders on offer. A great pit stop. Currently a limited kitchen on a Thursday (4/2023). They do have a special board on the day and a meal deal menu for those not so hungry.
