Champneys Springs

A Good experience, reception staff were warm and friendly. Unfortunately, most of the classes were full. Aqua fit was good. More loungers are needed by the pool. Lunch was good. Hugo, our waiter, was attentive, though his female colleague was rather blunt, almost rude. The treatments were heavenly. Georgia sent my head to the clouds, thank you.

Last year I stayed at a Champney resort in Hertfordshire which was absolutely amazing, the venue and service was 5.. visiting the Springs its been a complete disappointment. The rooms are tired and worn and it actually looks more like a retirement home NOT A SPA! They also have building work which was noisy and far from being relaxing and peaceful. On arrival I should have been advised that building work was taking place or even before attending so I had the choice to reschedule my spa weekend. The beds are so small and uncomfortable with really soft pillows, I think Champneys really needs to invest some money to upgrade this spa facility and raise its standards to mirror other Champney resorts. Rooms: The rooms are very basic, the beds are small and the pillow are extremely soft. It feels like a retirement home not a SPA
