        We never planned to come to Maylandsea but part of our planned walk was underwater today so we stopped for a drink here to work out what to do next. What a lovely, warm welcome we had from Keith and the the team. A really friendly bar. We didnt get to sample the food but well be back when its drier! The beer was also excellently kept and poured. And to cap it all, Keiths lovely wife Sandra gave us a lift back to our car. We met some lovely people today.

        We have had quite a few meals here over the years with all our family. Can honestly say that none of us has ever not enjoyed our food. My opinion....Sunday roast is to die for. Staff are great and very attentive. Thank you all for today and making Kevin's birthday so special. 100% recommend the Blackwater Bistro
