'DoLittle' Pets and Supplies

I visitied DoLittle today to enquire about keeping tortoises as preparation for our son's first pet. I think I spoke to Maddie (?) apologies, if I got the name wrong, but she was incredibly friendly and helpful. Our choice was reconfirmed and she knew what she was talking about. I left with a lot of helpful advice and was allowed to take a few photos of different housing options, accessories and the tortoises themselves. I feel confident that when the time comes that this is the place to return to. Plus they also offer temporary housing for animals when you're on holiday. Something I did not even consider in the moment, but so useful to know. Thank you very much!

Absolutely horrified by the conditions the small furries are kept in. One hamsters cage was filled with flies, had not a single toy, no wheel, dirty water bottle and was way over fed and no way to exercise. They look so depressed its heartbreaking to see. One was being sold as a boy but very clearly a girl. Shop is boiling hot and theyre kept in cages with very little air flow. They do not have the facilities to keep small animals they should stick to birds and reptiles as its not fair on the rodents. Must be very stressful for them being kept so close to their natural predators. Some of the hamsters in there have been there for months with no enrichment its so cruel. Massive welfare issues happening here. I dont know enough about the birds or reptiles to comment on their living conditions but at least they looked considerably better than the poor rodents. Hope some massive changes take place otherwise the RSPCA should get involved. Edit to update seeing as were all giving our own accounts of what happened : All the points made in his response to me are blatant lies and he keeps trying to get me to delete my review which is an HONEST account of my experience there. His response showed how little he cared about what I was saying and was more concerned about his self image. Even admitted in his response that the wheel wasnt working but was used for relaxation which defeats the point entirely. Shop seems to have very little knowledge of hamsters which was proved by the lengthy email I received in response to my review. I hope the owner doesnt let his ego get in the way of taking on board what I have said and providing these animals with the proper care. And rest assured the hamster we bought to get her out of that place will never have to suffer again. I hope the same goes for the remaining hamsters left there. The owner could also use some lessons in decorum but thats a separate less important issue- Scarlett Jackman.

Great for pet food. Excellent delivery service. Lots of choice. They've been feeding my dogs for years.
