Really welcoming and friendly and the food is great. Definitely gives off local pub vibes but without being hostile to out of towners. Generous food portions of proper pub grub. Highly recommend the Pasty, and the ploughman's. Well worth a visit if you're in the area. This place is dog friendly as well which is always a plus. Stayed for Sunday lunch which was lovely, good portions and good quality food and thought goes into the presentation, once finished i thought to myself i could eat that again. Ive been visiting tgis lovely place since i was a child with parents from the late 70s till present day and the great family memories always come flooding back.
