Jewel Cottage

Lovely cottage in a good location. The only thing I would say is there is no toilet on the ground floor and there are stairs down to the basement bedroom and upto first floor bedroom and bathroom so if mobility is an issue for you it might be a struggle. Lovely place though with an open fire. Nearby activities: We stayed here to visit chatsworth house which was well worth the visit

What a treat! Such a beautiful cottage, furnished to a high standard and in a great location. We had the best nights sleep as the bed's are SO comfy and the cottage has such a cosy feel about it. The host Jo was very welcoming and her communication was excellent. Will definitely be returning and told all my friends, as a great place to stay and so much to see and do right on your doorstep. This charming cottage was a real delight for our weekend stay in Matlock! It is perfectly equipped and the huge bed was the comfiest weve ever slept in! I love the attention to detail and really appreciate the high quality bedding and the high standard of cleanliness. The location, whilst up a steep hill from the town was actually great! What a fantastic way to burn those extra calories consumed in the fantastic cafes and bars in town at the end of the day! Thanks Jo! Well definitely be back
