Rooms: Rooms just right size for two and an inquisitive cat. Nearby activities: Matlock Bath nearby, lovely Pavillion Riverside walk and lots of fish and chips. Safety: Be careful of slippery Autumnal leaves (in Autumn obviously) Walkability: Village of Bonsall nearby as is Cromford. Food & drinks: Pay a visit to Chatsworth farm shop, car essential. Noteworthy details: Lovely gardens with Bonsai trees for sale..see owner.

A delightful unusual tranquil and peaceful setting steeped in history and surrounded by the exotic Japanese gardens and waterfalls.....what more could you ask from a place to stay? The guest has access to the gardens for exploring and peaceful reflection. The garden suite is a self contained luxurious bedroom with ensuite shower and jacuzzi bath, lovely goodies in the room and the sound of trickling water if you open the doors. The breakfast was delicious and meant to be savoured in an elegant eclectic dining room with an opportunity of looking at the foreign ornaments and pictures while asking Alan about his extensive travels. If you are lucky you can be greeted by Jake the cat who loves a cuddle on your lap for a time.
