Nearby activities: I stayed with a group of friends and we enjoyed a tour of Theakston's brewery (no time for Black Sheep too) and walks using Masham as our base. We caught a bus to North Stainley and walked back, largely along the route of the river, and drove to Lofthouse for a walk around Nidderdale. On our journey home we called at Brimham Rocks, which are spectacular. Food & drinks: By booking direct with the hotel I received a very welcome discount voucher for meals, making them very good value. The bar served ales from both local breweries and further afield.
