i visited maryport with my partner for a short break, we enjoyed lots of lovely walks in the area. Maryport is a small town with couple of Museums, Aquarium, Nice harbour and lovely seaside to enjoy. We spent 2 days out of our 5 day break to wonder around Maryport and do Local visits, Rest of the 3 days we've visited mostly lakes. Keswick, Cockermouth are some of areas within a 20 minute drive, you've got lot to see in those places. Maryport House itself is a nice place to stay, You've got pretty much everything you need when you are on a holiday break. Its nice, modern flat in a quiet and peaceful location yet closer to every where. there are number of local takeaway places in Maryport ( indian, Chinese, Turkish & fish and chips) we tried few of these two days they were good. within the apartment it self you have smart TV, we watched lots of movies every even on amazon prime , it was great. Fast internet connection was available free of charge through out the stay ( i think its a fibre connection). Parking was right outside apartment itself has two Bedrooms, kitchen and a bathroom. They do not have a separate lounge or a living room but that didn't really bother us as the large bedroom had all we need ( separate sofa, TV & table chair) free on street parking right outside the property, we always manage to find parking closer by every single day during our stay ( it is a very quiet area so not much traffic if you want to visit western or north lakes, then Maryport house is a great area although it is a bit far for most hotspots like Windermere and Ambleside ( south of lake district). North lakes are more quiet and peaceful so that suited me and my partner very well overall i would rate 9/10 for the maryport house. We will be back later this year again to explore of the North lakes. Thanks Ash for all your hospitality
