My partner and I travelled up from Wales. Its run by a Super warm and friendly couple. Amazingly comfy double bed which was much needed after the 7 hours travel. Best nights sleep I've had in a very long time! Super fluffy towels! Clean and tidy! Its within walking distance to everywhere. Will be coming back shortly with my daughter to stay. Breakfast was awesome too! Highly recommend!

Very friendly guesthouse but with a simple standard. You get what you pay. Room was very clean, bathroom dated. Unfortunately in the four nights we stayed, they never came to clean. The bin in the room was totally full in the end. But we can recommend it for a cheap and clean short stay. The Lake District is very close and the bus stops are in front of the house. Parking is not possible near the house. The only free car park to stay overnight is next to the train station. A five minutes walk. Shopping is very close by. Unfortunately the town could be much more attractive for tourists.

Not everyone appreciates the same things. It was perfect for me. I got a good deal. Some people would complain that they couldn't get the kettle under the tap, but all they would need to do, is use the cup to fill the kettle. I find that many complaints come from the most ignorant.
