From the first face to face appointment that was rushed with the consultant and I did not feel I had the time to ask questions about sizing for my breast augmentation. The nurse appointments were with a very abrupt nurse that made me feel I was wasting her time especially when I had to book an additional appointment to check my sizing before the operation as i had not had time in the previous appointment. The care coordinator takes about 4-5 to respond to queries and the service feels like a call centre with operators. I can not believe the hospital still has outdated covid restrictions and forms that question covid isolations prior to operation. Being very scared, anxious and worried,( I also suffer from panic attacks) before the procedure I asked for my mother to stay with me but this was not allowed. All NHS hospitals allow visitors and companions so why when you pay thousands of pounds should you not be allowed. Then on my post op check up the nurse would not allow my mother to accompany me due to "infection control" guidelines. The nurse had her hair down and nail polish!!! Far from correct infection control rules!! The nurse did not even offer to help with my jacket that I struggled with being 7 days post operation! I find this company very impersonal and clearly about profits rather than patient care. I wouldn't be recommending Mya to friends and family and I wish I had done further research with other companies Date of experience: 05 April 2023
