We decided to go slightly later so it would be less busy. On arrival the restaurant still had a few other diners so the atmosphere was pretty good. Service was fine but as it was later they were a bit quick between courses so we did feel a bit rushed. The food was generally ok but one of our party had a chicken donburi and she hardly touched it as she said it was pretty tough and dry - when they collected the plate they never asked what was wrong. I had tendon (mix of veg tempura and a couple of prawns) - it was ok but I thought the rice was a bit overdone. The best part of the meal for me was the 3 appetisers and the takoyaki. We had ordered more than we needed as the portions were much bigger than expected - definitely adapted for a UK clientele - though I prefer Japanese size portions - give me quality over quantity any day. All in all it was ok but nothing special and we'd probably not return.
