The creme de la creme of salons. They have executed their mission with distinction! The energy of the space is always so welcoming, calm and bright, a clear testament of the magnificent beings involved in the collective. The decor is minimal (which I love) and super clean. Subrina Kidd is my hair guru, she knows and more importantly LOVES her craft. Always professional, confident and open to dive with me on my hair experiments hehehe. Subrina Kidd was recommended to me by a make-up artist who worked with her on an array of editorial and advertising shoots. She has exclusively been relaxing, cutting, colouring, styling and treating my afro hair for about eight years. Subrina has vast experience with ALL hair types (European and both natural and relaxed afro hair) having worked at other well-known reputable salons, on fashion shows, shoots and personal A-list celebrity styling. Subrina flawlessly achieves a look that's on point every time, is well respected in the industry and is always professional. Every time Subrina does my hair, I get loads of compliments by people, including strangers on the street. A few people have even asked if my hair is 'real' - it's that perfect (I never have hair extensions!). I always enjoy visiting Hair by the Collective as I love the energy, 'family' atmosphere and camaraderie between the owners and stylists, and would highly recommend Subrina, in addition to any of her colleagues whose work always looks great!
