Although I completely agree with the idea behind this agency and love working with vulnerable and disadvantaged students, I question the "employment" side - tutors are freelance, yet EE allocate the work and set the fee, but by not "employing" tutors, there is no holiday pay, sick pay or pension contribution - no employers costs. All this factored in makes the pay rates very low and I question the ethics of that together with the expectation that tutors will fund their own resources. To be honest, I have found other agencies to be fairer and the NTP too - and the rate of pay is higher. Yes, vulnerable students need good teaching but teachers need fair pay and conditions too. I noticed EE has been awarded some NTP work and I hope those tutors get the pay rates and provided resources in those instances - otherwise they should switch agency!

I have worked with Equal Education for over a year and they are by far my preferred tutoring organisation to work with. The communication and support is excellent and EE care deeply about their mission and students they support. As a tutor I have felt well supported and my concerns have been dealt with professionally. The staff are great and the communication is warm, helpful and professional. I have really enjoyed my work with EE.

I have worked with Equal Education (EE for 12 months, I have found the staff to be very supportive and encouraging. The company as a whole is very focused on improving the education of children, which is extremely important to me as a tutor. I could easily say that EE are the best agency I have ever worked for.
