Not listening when I was going with pain ending in a state 2 colon cancer. Messing my daughters referral for more than 6 months. I needed urgent medication due to a bowel blockage made me wait for 10 days to get my prescription

The doctors are excellent once you get to see them but they appear overwhelmed. The administration side can be quite unreliable, verging on the negligent at times, and (thinking of one male receptionist who on hearing his voice I would just put the phone down and call again hoping for someone else) sometimes downright rude and obstructive. My experience is of a practice on the defensive and unable to cope with the patient load on its books (listen to their recorded message when you call up!). I have had to chase constantly for tests to be booked, to get test results etc. I never feel entirely sure that they have a handle on on-going problems. The big question is, with the funding crisis in the NHS, is it better anywhere else?
