Greetings from Malaysia! Very grateful for the friendship and support of Dan and team at Ridan. We are happy to say that the Ridans are working very well here in our tropical climate. Durable, active and slowly but surely sparking a small movement amongst communities to transform their food waste into black gold. Compost quality after maturing is good, especially as a mulch for perennial plants and trees. Sometimes for larger trees, we even use it directly out of the ridan for larger trees and it works fine! Hope that with oyur support, we can keep the world turning here. Best wishes, FOLO Farm.

We are very excited about the arrival of a new Ridan Composter for our Outdoor Learning Centre just outside of Sheffield. We will be recycling kitchen waste from our Special Educational Needs College and social enterprise, Fusion cafe, both of which are in the city centre of Sheffield. This high quality compost from the Ridan will then go back onto the land, to grow the delicious organic veg that will be served back in our college and cafe! We are really looking forward to eradicating our contribution to landfill and championing the eco friendly and sustainable principles of the Ridan.

The Ridan is a key element of our food wast strategy here at Ardroy Outdoor Education Centre where as part of our programmes we are educating children and young people about the impact of food waste on the environment. Since we have put the Ridan in place we have eradicated food waste going to landfill and such is the simplicity of the Ridan that the children themselves are operating it at the same time as gaining an understanding of the benefits of composting. It is that efficient we have ordered another maturation box and I cannot recommend the product or the service Dan provides highly enough, get one and you will not be disappointed.

The Ridan is fantastic! We have put all our fruit waste from snacks and food from lunches into our composter with no food waste leaving the school site. Since starting in June 2018 we have already made 2 containers worth of compost and used it on our school garden to help our vegetable and fruit plants grow. This was done in October 2018. The Ridan is a great educational resource that teaches the children the life cycle of their food from the food waste going into the Ridan to the Ridan making the composter and then the compost going back into the garden to help vegetables and fruit to grow. A group of children have the responsibility of looking after the Ridan. They put all the food waste in and add the pellets. Then they turn the handle. They all really enjoy doing this job. This has become so popular amongst the children that there is a rota for each half term so everyone who wants a go can be involved. I highly recommend the Ridan to any school, college or university.
